Hugh White, "Submarines are vital, because anywhere beyond the range of our own land-based air power, which means a very large area of ocean indeed, submarines are by far and away the most cost effective, virtually the only effective way."
Hugh White, "We need new subs. And we need more subs, and we need them pretty soon."
Hugh White, "That makes this the most demanding project in Australia's history."
